Kansas City, Kansas, police are asking the public for assistance in identifying a suspect’s truck involved in a hit-and-run accident at State Avenue and Village West Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas.

The truck hit a police vehicle at 10:37 p.m. Saturday, July 20, and then left the scene, going east on State Avenue, police stated. The police vehicle was stopped and working another accident case at the time.

A red extended cab truck sideswiped a police vehicle, causing minor injuries to both officers who were seated inside the vehicle, according to a police spokesman.

The suspect’s vehicle should have damage to the front passenger side, and may be missing the hub cap of the passenger side wheel, police said.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or the driver is asked to notify Detective Marlin Sluder at 913-573-6084 or [email protected].
