Lego time planned
Family Lego Club will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at the West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nD St., Kansas City, Kansas. Children and teens may work on their own creations or build as a team. Legos are provided. All ages may attend.
Family story time planned
Family story time will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 13, at the craft room, Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Wyandotte County Fair to be Saturday
The Wyandotte County Fair will open at noon Saturday and close at 11 p.m. at the Fairgrounds, 137th and Polfer Road, Kansas City, Kansas. It is the last day of this year’s fair. The 4-H Horse Show – timed events will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The MidWest Mud Boggers Mud Run will be at 7 p.m. in the fairgrounds arena. Entertainment includes Ritch Henderson, 3:15 p.m., Main Stage; Crossroads Youth Music Team from Dallas Texas, 5 p.m., Main Stage; Silver Streak, 6:15 p.m., Main Stage; Edge of Forever, a Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band, 8:30 p.m., Main Stage. Stranded in the City will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Entertainment Tent. It will be $25 carnival wristband night. There also will be an antique car show. Writers’ program planned
“Come Write In” will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nd St., Kansas City, Kansas. Novelists, bloggers, short story writers and other writers may attend and brainstorm, write and work toward their goals. They may drop in.
Teen author to sign books
A teen author, Calogero Bradley, a student at Harmon High School, will sign his young adult book, “Vengeance Is Mine: The Reaping” at a program from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the storytime-craft room, West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nd St., Kansas City, Kansas. This is his first book, and it is self-published. Books will be available for purchase.
Church plans event
Sacred Heart Catholic parish, 2646 S. 34th St., Kansas City, Kansas, is planning bingo night at 7 p.m. July 13. The Knights of Columbus at Sacred Heart are the hosts of the event.
T-Bones to play tonight
