Family story time planned
Family story time will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 6, at the craft room, Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. This program is geared to ages 2 to 6. There will be a story, dancing and singing. For other library programs, visit www.kckpl.org.

Shooting star program to be Saturday
A shooting star program is planned from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at the Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library craft room, 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Shooting stars and meteors are the subjects of this S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program. There will be activities and all materials will be provided. The program is for ages 18 and younger.

‘Paint the Pages’ program offered
A “Paint the Pages” program will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at the storytime room, South Branch Library, 3104 Strong Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Children will read a story, then paint a picture inspired by the book. The materials are provided.

Sporting KC plays home game Saturday
Sporting Kansas City (4-7-7, 19 points) will play a home game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Children’s Mercy Park, Kansas City, Kansas. Chicago Fire (5-7-7, 22 points) will visit. Tickets for the interconference clash are available at SeatGeek.com.
