Keith Awards were presented to, from left, Harold Spillman, Jim Gill and Jim Woods at the 11th annual Keith Lindsey Scholarship Scramble golf event benefitting the men’s basketball program at Kansas City Kansas Community College. Named in honor of the late Keith Lindsey, the awards are awarded to those “perpetuating Lindsey’s unselfish giving to others” or who those who have “touched the lives of several generations of American youth.” Classmates or longtime associates of Keith Lindsey, all three of the recipients have been extremely involved in the fund-raising tournament held annually at Dub’s Dread Golf Course. The owner of Varsity Sports and generous supporter of youth athletes in Wyandotte County and the surrounding area, Keith Lindsey is a member of the Mid-America Education Hall of Fame at KCKCC.
