The administrative offices and customer service lobby of the Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Public Utilities will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day, according to an announcement.
Emergency service will be available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. For power emergencies, call 913-573-9522. The water emergency number is 913-573-9622.
Trash service will be delayed a day for Thursday and Friday.
July 4 will be a holiday for Waste Management – Deffenbaugh with no residential trash pickup or curbside recycling on Thursday.
Thursday’s pickup will be collected on Friday, and Friday’s pickup will be collected on Saturday.
The holiday will not affect trash collection services on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, according to officials.
