An injury-accident was reported on eastbound I-70 at 11:39 a.m. Thursday, June 27, when a driver swerved to avoid an object in the road.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Chevrolet Sonic was eastbound on I-70 between 57th and 72nd streets when the driver swerved and lost control, striking the barrier wall.
The driver of the vehicle, a 70-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
