An education candidate meet-and-greet event is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at the First Baptist Church, 500 Nebraska, Kansas City, Kansas.
Candidates for the Kansas City Kansas Community College Board of Trustees and the Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Education have been invited to the meeting.
The candidates are on the ballot in the general election, Nov. 5.
The event is sponsored by the Community Health Council, El Centro, Historic Northeast Midtown Association, MainStream Education Foundation, Metro Organization for Racial and Economic Equity, Kansas City, Kansas, Chapter of the NAACP, and NBC Community Development Corp.
