Democratic breakfast to be Saturday
Guest speakers for the Wyandotte County Third Saturday Democratic Breakfast on June 15 will be State Rep. Kathy Wolfe Moore, D-36th Dist., and State Rep. Tom Burroughs, D-33rd Dist. Burroughs also is the Unified Government 2nd District at large commissioner. The breakfast will be at Las Islas Marias, 7516 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. The breakfast buffet will open at 8:15 a.m., and the program will start at 9 a.m. The breakfast is open to all Democrats. The cost of the buffet will be $10, with students and those on limited incomes, $6. Those who attend the program do not have to purchase a breakfast. Anyone planning on purchasing breakfast is asked to make reservations to [email protected] by Friday, June 14, although reservations are not required.

Blood drive planned June 15
A Red Cross blood drive is planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Joe E. Amayo Community Center gymnasium, 2810 Metropolitan Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. To schedule an appointment, visit redcrossblood.org.

Yoga planned at Wyandotte County Lake Park
A Yoga in the Park program is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library, 4051 West Drive, in Wyandotte County Lake Park, 91st and Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, Kansas. Participants will do yoga poses outside the library. Robin Olsen is the instructor. The class is for all skill levels. Adults and children over 6 may attend. Participants should bring a yoga mat or towel and a bottle of water.

Family story time planned
Family story time will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 15, at the Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. This program is geared to ages 2 to 6. There will be a story, dancing and singing. For other library programs, visit www.kckpl.org.

Cabelas plans family fishing event
Cabelas will hold a free Gone Fishing event from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the store at 10300 Cabela Drive, Kansas City, Kansas. There will be free family activities including catch-and-release fishing at a fishing pond, with rods and bait furnished; make a hanging felt bobber at a craft event; a free fishing photo download; and fishing seminars at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Coloring program planned Saturday
Drawing and coloring are planned from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, in the craft room at West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nd St., Kansas City, Kansas. Materials, including coloring pages, will be provided. The program is for all ages.

Church plans Ethnic Festival Saturday
St. Mary-St. Anthony Catholic Church, 615 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas, is planning an Ethnic Festival from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 15.The festival will be in Bishop Forst Hall, and will start after Mass. The parish is celebrating its 161st anniversary, and there will be Irish and Hispanic foods available for purchase.
