A clerk couldn’t get the cash register drawer open during an aggravated robbery on Thursday, so a robber took the entire cash register with him, according to a social media post by the police chief.
The aggravated robbery happened at a store near 12th and Central in Kansas City, Kansas, according to the chief’s post.
A man wearing a black T-shirt and khaki pants entered the store armed with a knife and demanded money, the chief stated.
In a separate incident a short distance away, in the 100 block of South 13th Street, there was a drive-by shooting reported Thursday in which multiple rounds damaged a house and car, according to a social media post by the police chief.
