Central Avenue parade

The Central Avenue parade on Saturday in Kansas City, Kan., attracted a number of residents from throughout the metropolitan area. More than 150 attended the annual event.
People of all walks of life and different ethnic backgrounds celebrated their cultural heritage.
“This is truly a celebration of our heritage and it truly shows what Kansas City, Kan., is made up of,” said Mayor and CEO Mark Holland.
The parade started at 18th and Central and ended at Bethany Park, at 11th and Central in Kansas City, Kan. There was something there every member of the family could enjoy.
Plans are currently underway right now for next year’s parade.
