Weather clears for the weekend

The forecast for the weekend is clear weather, with highs in the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service.

River flooding continues in Wyandotte County today, where the Missouri River is in moderate flood stage, where the gauge is at I-435 in western Wyandotte County, and the Kansas River is in minor flood stage at the gauge at Kansas Avenue and the state line. Motorists are advised to use caution.

The next chance for storms is Tuesday night into Wednesday, according to the weather service. No severe weather is expected at this time.

Today, it will be sunny with a high near 84 and a calm wind becoming east northeast around 6 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be clear with a low of 65 and an east wind of 5 mph becoming calm in the evening, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be sunny with a high near 84 and a calm wind, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 63 and a calm wind, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 83, the weather service said. A calm wind will become north around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday night, the low will be 58 with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.

Monday, the high will be near 77 with sunny skies, the weather service said.

Monday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 56, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 78, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 58, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 75, the weather service said.

Wednesday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 54, according to the weather service

Thursday, it will be sunny with a high near 77, the weather service said.
