Tornado watch in effect

A tornado watch is in effect for Wyandotte County from 1:55 p.m. through 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

In all, 24 counties in Kansas are under the tornado watch. Neighboring Johnson and Leavenworth counties also are in a tornado watch.

There is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms and showers after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Storms could include damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes and flash flooding.
