Two persons are dead in a one-vehicle accident at 1:15 p.m. April 16 on K-5, northwest of Marxen Road in Leavenworth County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The location of the accident was in Leavenworth County, near the Wyandotte-Leavenworth county line.
A Dodge was traveling southbound on K-5 when the driver went off the road to the right, overcorrected and went southbound in the northbound lane, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver then lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree to the west of the roadway, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver, SaraKay Snell, 36, of Lansing, Kansas, was killed in the accident, the trooper’s report stated.
A passenger in the vehicle, Calob Crow, 19, of Lansing, Kansas, also was killed in the accident, according to the trooper’s report.
