Dream Run planned Sept. 6
A benefit Dream Run for the Delaware Ridge Elementary School PTO is planned from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 6, at Wyandotte County Park, 126th and State. The 5K and 1 Mile Run-Walk are open to the community. Registration fees are $30 and $15. The run raises funds for school activities and items. For more information, visit www.eventbrite.com.

Bonner fundraiser to be Sept. 6
Bonner Springs High School Project Graduation will benefit from a breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sept. 6 at Applebee’s, 11500 W. 63rd, Shawnee. Tickets are $8 each.

Benefit fine art and furniture sale planned
Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is collaborating with Brown Button Estate Sales to hold a Fine Art, Antique and Furniture Sale in the Crossroads Art District after recently receiving an extremely generous donation from an anonymous donor. There are more than 500 high quality items in stock and all purchase proceeds will go towards Catholic Charities programming. The location is 117 W. 20th St., Piper Loft Building, Kansas City, Mo. Dates and times are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 4; noon to 9 p.m. Sept. 5; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 6; and noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 7. Garage sale to benefit food pantry
A garage sale Sept. 6 at CrossRoads Family Church, 8822 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kan., will be a benefit for a food pantry located there. The event is sponsored by the Civitan Sochi Club. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 6. Those attending will be able to pay $10 for a 13-gallon bag of garage sale items. So far, clothing and books have been donated to the garage sale, with other items expected.

Church festival planned Saturday
Our Lady of Unity Parish will hold Our Lady of Unity Fest from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Sacred Heart field, 2646 S. 34th, Kansas City, Kan. The event includes family entertainment, carnival games, inflatables for kids, talent contest, variety of musical groups, Mexican dance groups, American and Mexican-style food, drinks and a silent auction.

‘Shakespeare in Parking Lot’ returns to Alcott Center Saturday
Alcott Arts Center, 180 S. 18th, Kansas City, Kan., will present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” as part of its Shakespeare in the Parking Lot series Sept. 6-7 and 13-14.The play will begin at 3 p.m. at the Alcott parking lot. Admission is $5 plus one nonperishable food item per person.

Renaissance Festival continues on weekends
The Kansas City Renaissance Festival continues on Saturday and Sunday at the festival grounds at 628 N. 126th St. (126th and State), Bonner Springs. The festival is the re-creation of a 16th century English village. Music, food, crafts, shows and other entertainment are featured at the festival, which runs on weekends through Oct. 14. Summer concert to be Sept. 6 at Legends

Dave and Buster’s Summer Concert Series will continue at 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, on the rooftop patio at The Legends Outlets. The Ernest James Zydeco Band will perform from 9 p.m. to close Sept. 6. Different bands will play on Saturdays through September.
