There will be no open burning allowed in Kansas City, Kansas, until 7 a.m. Friday, April 12, because of high winds that cause an elevated fire risk.
The announcement was made by the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department fire marshal.
After 7 a.m. Friday, residents may contact the fire stations for information about getting a burn permit.
