Critical injuries were reported in an automobile accident Thursday afternoon, April 4, in the 800 block of South 7th Street Trafficway.
A spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department stated that some juveniles in a Mercury Mountaineer and the driver of a Honda Pilot sustained critical injuries.
The driver of the silver Honda Pilot was traveling south on 7th Street and crossed lanes into oncoming traffic, striking a tan Mercury Mountaineer headed north on 7th Street, the police spokesman stated.
There were seven occupants in the Mountaineer, including some juveniles, the spokesman stated.
The occupants of the vehicles were taken to a hospital for treatment, the spokesman stated.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit-Critical Collision Response Team is investigating the accident, according to the spokesman.
