Two persons are dead after an accident that officers responded to at 2:38 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, near 55th and Freeman Avenue.
Officers responded to the accident and found that a single vehicle was traveling south on 55th Street when it lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree, a police spokesman stated.
The driver, a man in his late 30s, and passenger, a woman in her mid-30s, both died at the scene, police said.
The accident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit – Critical Collision Response Team.
