Winter Speaker Series continues March 9 at Grinter Place
The last Winter Speaker Series will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Grinter House, 1420 S. 78th, Kansas City, Kansas. Leona Sigwing will portray Annie Grinter and tell about the history of the Grinter House at this program. Also, Louise Crable will talk about prairie plants and their medical uses. The program is free and open to the public. Doughnuts, coffee and juice will be served. After the program, Grinter House will be open for tours. Programa de Folklorica at South Branch Library
A folk dance workshop will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the South Branch Library, Conference Room A, 3104 Strong Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. Students will have the opportunity to express themselves through movement. The program is in Spanish, and is open to children, teens and adults.

Craft program planned at Main Library
Children and teens may attend an origami (making items out of paper) program from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave. A variety of easy designs that can be used as gifts or decorations for a room or locker will be featured in the program.
