Weather will gradually warm up this week

Temperatures will gradually increase this week in Wyandotte County, according to the National Weather Service.

Cold temperatures continue this morning, with today’s high near 23, and wind chill values between zero and 10, the weather service said.

Wednesday, temperatures will reach 39, and Thursday, 40, with a slight chance of snow in the morning. Saturday’s high will be 54 with a chance of rain in the forecast, according to the weather service.

Today, expect sunny skies and a high of 23, with a northwest wind of 8 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 8, and wind chill values between minus 1 and 4, according to the weather service. A northwest wind of 5 to 8 mph will become light and variable.

Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 39 and a south southwest wind of 5 to 9 mph, the weather service said.

Wednesday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 25 and an east southeast wind of 5 to 8 mph, according to the weather service.

Thursday, there will be a 20 percent chance of snow before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of rain, the weather service said. The high will be near 40 with an east southeast wind of 7 to 9 mph.
