BPU board elects officers

Norm Scott

Members of the Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Public Utilities elected new officers to the board on Wednesday.

New officers include Norman D. Scott, president; Ryan Eidson, vice president; and Robert L. Milan Sr., secretary.

Before being elected board president, Norm Scott served as vice president. He has been on the Board of Directors since 2015.

Scott is a native of Kansas City, Kansas, who graduated from Wyandotte High School and attended Kansas City Kansas Community College.

For over 40 years, Scott worked in the construction industry helping build the infrastructure of the Wyandotte County community. In 2001, he retired as a business agent from the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 101.

Scott is an active chair member of the Missions for Wyandotte United Methodist Church, and the Wyandotte County Democrats. He previously served as president of Stony Point Neighborhood Association, and as the chair of Trustees for Grinter Chapel United Methodist Church. He also serves as a volunteer at Cross-Lines Community Outreach.
