Mild temperatures are in today’s forecast from the National Weather Service.
Rain that brings cooler temperatures is moving through the region north of the Kansas City area this morning, according to the weather service, and no rain is expected in the Wyandotte County forecast.
Today’s high will be near 60, and temperatures were 59 degrees at 8 a.m., the weather service said. Temperatures are expected to fall a few degrees this morning as a weak cold front moves in, before climbing to 57 around 1 p.m.
Above average temperatures are in this week’s forecast, with temperatures falling in the latter half of the week, according to the weather service.
On Friday morning, light precipitation is in the forecast for parts of the region, with snow flurries changing to light rain in some areas, the weather service said. At this time, the Wyandotte County forecast is not showing precipitation on Friday. It is too early for any predictions to be made yet, according to forecasters.
Today, skies are sunny with a high near 60 and a west wind of 7 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph, the weather service said.
Tonight, it will be clear with a low of 37 and a west southwest wind of 7 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph, according to the weather service.
Tuesday, temperatures will reach a high of 50, with sunny skies and a northwest wind of 11 to 15 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph, the weather service said.
Tuesday night, the low will be around 27 with clear skies and a west northwest wind of 7 to 9 mph, according to the weather service.
Wednesday, the high will be near 41 with sunny skies and a north northwest wind of 6 to 9 mph, the weather service said.
Wednesday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 24, according to the weather service.
Thursday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 42, the weather service said.
Thursday night, the low will be around 33 with mostly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.
Friday, it will be mostly cloudy with a high near 45, the weather service said.
