Get ready for cold temperatures this weekend.
After a cold front moved through, temperatures in Wyandotte County will be colder than normal on Friday and Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
The wind chill on Saturday morning will be in the single digits above zero, the weather service said.
There is a potential for rain late Sunday night and early Monday morning.
Today, it will be mostly cloudy with a high near 29, the weather service said. A northwest wind of 10 to 13 mph will gust as high as 21 mph.
Tonight, the low will be around 15 with partly cloudy skies and a north northwest wind of 6 to 9 mph, according to the weather service.
Saturday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 29, the weather service said. A north northwest wind of 6 mph will become light and variable in the afternoon.
Saturday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 22 and a south southwest wind of 3 to 6 mph, according to the weather service.
Sunday, it will be sunny with a high near 42 and a south southwest wind of 6 to 10 mph, the weather service said.
Sunday night, there is a 50 percent chance of drizzle before midnight, then a chance of rain after midnight, according to the weather service. The low will be around 34. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.
Monday, there is a chance of drizzle before noon, with a high of 39, the weather service said.
Monday night, New Year’s Eve, it will be mostly cloudy with a low around 15, according to the weather service.
On Tuesday, New Year’s Day, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 22, the weather service said.
Tuesday night, it will be mostly clear with a low of 10, according to the weather service.
Wednesday, it will be sunny with a high near 33, the weather service said.
Wednesday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 20, according to the weather service.
