Police have identified the victim of a homicide on Sunday morning in the 2600 block of North 52nd Street.
According to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman, the victim was Taveon Brooks, age 15. He was a resident of Kansas City, Kansas.
Police responded at 2:46 a.m. Sunday and found that Brooks had been shot and was deceased.
He and four other teens were in a vehicle near 52nd and Georgia when shooting began, police stated. The vehicle went south on 52nd Street and crashed, according to police.
A female in the vehicle was shot and is in stable condition, police said. The other three teens were treated for minor injuries.
