Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a shooting on Friday afternoon at 47th Terrace and Leavenworth Road.
A pedestrian was shot at that location and was treated by EMS for a gunshot wound, a police spokesman stated. Police responded about 3:06 p.m. Friday.
The pedestrian was talking with a person in a small, dark-colored car before the shooting, according to the police spokesman.
The victim of the shooting was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition, the police spokesman stated.
