Historical Writers’ Book Fair planned Nov. 18
The public will have an opportunity to visit with authors at a Historical Writers’ Book Fair from 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the George Meyn Community Center in Wyandotte County Park, Bonner Springs. Downtown KCK Holiday Lighting Festival to be Nov. 30
The annual Mayor’s Holiday Lighting Festival in downtown Kansas City, Kansas, will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. The festival, including a tree lighting ceremony, is held each year in front of City Hall at 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas. On the evening’s schedule are visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, school and community groups performing musical and dance selections and classic holiday movies. Some of these events will be inside the first-floor lobby of City Hall, starting at 4 p.m. There will be refreshments available. The festival is free and open to the public.
