Democrats to meet Saturday

Speakers at the Wyandotte County Third Saturday Democratic Breakfast will be former State Rep. Bill Reardon and State Rep. Pam Curtis, D-32nd Dist.

They will discuss the results of the Nov. 6 general election. Former Rep. Bill Reardon was in the Kansas Legislature for 30 years, from 1974 through 2004. Rep. Curtis has been a state representative for five years, and is a past staff member for the late Mayor Jack Reardon, former Gov. John Carlin and former Mayor Joe Reardon.

The breakfast meeting will begin with a buffet at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Las Islas Marias, 7516 State Ave. The program will begin at 9 a.m.

The cost of the buffet is $10, or $6 for students and those on limited incomes. Those attending are asked to RSVP to [email protected] by Friday, Nov. 16. While sending in the RSVP is not required, it is encouraged. Those attending do not need to purchase a breakfast.

The meeting is open to all Democrats.
