A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Joe E. Amayo Sr. Community Recreation Center, 2810 Metropolitan Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
The center was newly renovated, with improvements including new air-conditioning units, new flooring and a new community room. The $200,000 in improvements came from private fundraising.
