A 1-year-old child was struck in the leg by gunfire during a shooting on Tuesday, Nov. 13, according to Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.
The child was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover, police stated.
Police responded to the shooting about 10:40 p.m. Nov. 13 in the 100 block of South 13th Street, Kansas City, Kansas.
Officers responded to the call and found that a home had been struck multiple times by gunfire.
Several occupants were in the residence, according to police.
