Kelly, Davids scheduled to speak to Wyandotte County Democrats Saturday
Laura Kelly, Democratic candidate for governor, will be a guest speaker on Saturday morning, Oct. 20, at the Wyandotte County Third Saturday Democratic Breakfast. Also speaking at the meeting will be Sharice Davids, the Democratic nominee for U.S. representative, 3rd District. The buffet breakfast will begin at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Las Islas Marias, 7516 State Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. The program will begin at 9 a.m. The buffet will cost $10, or $6 for students and those on limited incomes. Reservations are being accepted by Friday, Oct. 19, to [email protected]. Reservations are encouraged but not required. The program is open to Democrats, and those attending do not have to purchase a breakfast.

Make a Halloween lantern
Children may make a Halloween lantern in a class from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the craft room at the Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library. The program is for ages 5 to 12. Racing action continues Saturday at Kansas Speedway
NASCAR racing will be at Kansas Speedway on Saturday with the XFINITY Series Kansas Lottery 300. The race will start at 1:55 p.m. Saturday at the Kansas Speedway, I-70 and I-435 in Kansas City, Kansas. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday. Reptiles and amphibians on the program
Meet the reptiles and amphibians that live at the Schlagle Library from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library, 4051 West Drive, inside Wyandotte County Lake Park, Kansas City, Kansas. Those attending will hear information about diet and adaptations of each species. Oktoberfest dinner planned
St. Mary-St. Anthony Catholic Church plans an Oktoberfest dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Bishop Forst Hall, 615 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas.
