The pet adoption day event originally scheduled for the new dog park on Sunday has been moved to the Kansas City, Kansas, Animal Shelter because of the weather.
Rain is in the forecast for Sunday. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at the animal shelter offices, 3301 Park Drive, Kansas City, Kansas.
The event is planned by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Animal Services Unit.
Dogs can be adopted for $50, which includes spay-neuter, vaccinations and microchip.
Cats can be adopted at the animal shelter for $20, which includes spay-neuter and vaccinations.
