A Kansas City, Kansas, firefighter suffered minor injuries at an apartment building fire about 3:14 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at 2804 Sewell Ave., Kansas City, Kansas.
The fire was in one unit of the apartments. A spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department said residents of the apartment unit were displaced and the Red Cross is assisting with their needs. No residents were injured in the fire, he said.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and is under investigation, the spokesman said.
The estimated loss to the property was about $30,000, and estimated loss to contents was $6,000, according to the Fire Department’s report.
Three pumpers, one truck, one chief, one EMS unit, one safety officer and one fire investigator responded to the fire, according to the report.
