U.S. Rep. Kevin Yoder, R-Third Dist., will hold his 10th job fair from 2 to 6 p.m. today, Sept. 24, at Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, Kansas.
The job fair is held in cooperation with Workforce Partnership. The first hour of the job fair will have special attention for veterans.
The job fair will help bring about face-to-face meetings between those seeking employment and employers who are currently hiring.
The job fair will focus on jobs available in manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, information technology and industrial technology.
Workforce Partnership and Kansas Department of Commerce staff will be available to discuss opportunities for training with certifications, paid on-the-job training and registered apprenticeships. Resume workshops will be available.
Job-seekers should dress for success and bring several copies of their resume. The job fair is free and no registration is required. There is no cost for employers, who may email [email protected].
