An injury-accident was reported at 3 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, on westbound I-70 near the Turner Diagonal exit.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Mercedes Benz was in the center lane when it hydroplaned, entered the median and struck the barrier wall.
The driver, a 28-year-old Lenexa, Kansas, woman, was not injured.
A 10-year-old Lenexa boy who was a passenger in the vehicle was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the trooper’s report.
