A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Wyandotte County until 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, according to the National Weather Service.
Surrounding counties also are under the severe thunderstorm watch.
Strong winds, heavy rain and hail are possible with this storm.
