Today, the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department held a meeting with the local media. The meeting was very casual. It gave the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department and the media a chance to get to know each other.

“The reason why we decided to hold this meeting is for us to know you and you to know us,” said Police Chief Ellen Hanson. “After all we both have a job to do. It works in both of our favors that we were together.”

One of the topics discussed at the meeting was the concealed carry law. Members of the media asked the Police Department if there was a faster way to contact them regarding a recent crime that was committed.

At the end the meeting Chief of Police Hanson said, “I want to hold other meetings like this. These meetings like this are beneficial to both of us.”

The meeting ended on a positive note.
