The best chance for storms will come Wednesday evening through Thursday morning along a cold front that will drop southeast across the region, the weather service said.
A few storms could become strong to severe on Wednesday evening along and north of I-70, but widespread severe weather is not expected. The main threats of the storm are damaging winds, heavy rain and small hail.
Scattered thunderstorm chances will continue into the weekend, but no additional strong and severe storms are anticipated, the weather service said. Rain is a possibility every day, according to the forecast.
