Residents to give comments on Fisher Park redesign today
On Saturday, July 7, residents near Fisher Park at 3800 Fisher St. will be able to give their opinions on the redesign for the new playground at the park. The event is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 7 at Fisher Park, which is near 39th and Springfield. The event is sponsored by the Unified Government and Rosedale Development Association.

Picnic in the park today
A picnic in the park will be sponsored by the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office and Downtown KCK Kiwanis Club from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 7, at Big Eleven Lake, 11th and State, Kansas City, Kansas. A kids’ identification kit, a visit by “Safety Pup” and food are planned.

Movie to be shown today
The movie, “A Wrinkle in Time,” will be shown from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 7, in the second floor auditorium of the Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. S.T.E.A.M. storytime planned
A S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art and math) storytime is planned from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, in the craft room of the Main Kansas City, Kansas, Public Library, 625 Minnesota Ave. Stories, songs, science and art are planned for kindergarten through fifth grade age.
