KCK man killed in crash in Parkville area

A 75-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man was killed in a crash at 2:04 p.m. Sunday, May 26, in the Parkville, Missouri, area, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.

According to the trooper’s crash report, a Hyundai crossed into the path of a Buick, and struck the front of the Buick. The Buick was traveling northbound on Missouri Highway 9.

Larry G. Kelly, 75, Kansas City, Kansas, who was driving the Buick, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to the report. He was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 35-year-old woman from Kansas City, Missouri, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated. The woman was not wearing a seat belt, the report stated.

A 15-year-old female in the Hyundai also was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report. She was wearing a seat belt.
