The victim of a homicide May 10 in the 100 block of New Jersey Avenue has been identified, according to police.
The victim was Darnel Wright, 30, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, a police spokesman stated.
Police answered a call about 10:44 p.m. Thursday about shots being fired, and found a sport utility vehicle in the woods to the east of the 100 block of New Jersey, according to the spokesman. The victim was inside the SUV. He was dead from an apparent gunshot wound, police said.
