Take Your Child to Work Day

While many companies across the Kansas City area held Take Your Child to Work Day events today, Dairy Farmers of America in Kansas City, Kansas, took it a step further with not only 90-plus children but also two cows and a baby calf. The dairy company said that their hardworking farmers are at the heart of everything that they do and they wanted to not only give employees’ children a chance to see what their parents do each day, but also give them a glimpse of the farm, the cows and how milk is produced. The cows were brought to the DFA headquarters for a day by a DFA-member farm. Also, at DFA’s Take Your Child to Work Day event, the children packed lunches to benefit Harvesters.
