A victim advocate from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Victim Services Unit has been awarded a scholarship to attend a national training conference on violent crimes against women.
According to a news release from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department, the scholarship will help victim advocates attend the April 16-19 Conference on Crimes Against Women, held in Dallas, Texas.
Scholarship proceeds cover registration, travel and hotel costs.
Conference participants may receive training through workshops, computer labs and case studies. CCAW is presented by Genesis Women’s Shelter and Support and the Dallas Police Department.
