Antione R. Fiedler, 30, Kansas City, Kansas, has been charged with first-degree murder in a Dec. 26 fatal shooting at 6th and Spruce in Kansas City, Missouri.
Fiedler also faces two counts of armed criminal action and first-degree assault in the case, according to a news release from the Jackson County prosecutor’s office.
Rosemarie Harmon was found dead near 6th and Spruce after she had been shot on the street on Dec. 26, according to authorities.
Fiedler had been tried in a different murder case in Wyandotte County that resulted in hung juries, and was out of jail when the Kansas City, Missouri, homicide occurred.
Missouri detectives were contacted by Kansas City, Kansas, detectives, who provided information about the suspect, according to the probable cause statement.
The suspect had been arrested Dec. 30 and a stolen 9 mm handgun had been found under a seat in the vehicle, according to the probable cause statement. The gun was sent to a Missouri crime lab for testing, and the handgun matched casings recovered at 6th and Spruce, according to the probable cause statement.
When interviewed by Missouri detectives, the suspect denied any knowledge or involvement in the murder, according to the probable cause statement.
