A 7-year-old was hit by a vehicle around 5:28 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, near 3rd and Parallel, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.
An initial police investigation showed that the 7-year-old child was crossing the street when a gold sport utility vehicle traveling south on 3rd Street struck the child, the police spokesman stated.
The child was taken to a hospital in critical condition, the spokesman stated. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene until police arrived.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit – Critical Collision Response Team is investigating.
