The 57th annual Greater Kansas City Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday, March 1, at the Kansas City Downtown Convention Center Ballroom, 301 W. 13th St., Kansas City, Mo. The guest speaker at the breakfast will be Lamar Hunt Jr., owner of the Kansas City Mavericks hockey team. The breakfast is co-sponsored by more than 30 area mayors. This year the breakfast will benefit the nonprofit Sheffield Place of Kansas City, which helps homeless mothers and their children become more self-sufficient. St. Mary-St. Anthony parish plans bingo at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at Bishop Forst Hall, 615 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas. A bingo card, desserts, popcorn and coffee will be available for $5 admission.

Members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1300 N. 18th St., Kansas City, Kansas, will observe the second Sunday in Lent at 10 a.m. Feb. 25.
