The 57th annual Greater Kansas City Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday, March 1, at the Kansas City Downtown Convention Center Ballroom, 301 W. 13th St., Kansas City, Mo. The guest speaker at the breakfast will be Lamar Hunt Jr., owner of the Kansas City Mavericks hockey team. The breakfast is co-sponsored by more than 30 area mayors. This year the breakfast will benefit the nonprofit Sheffield Place of Kansas City, which helps homeless mothers and their children become more self-sufficient.
