Chilly temperatures to stay through week

Cold temperatures will persist through the remainder of the week, with the high reaching 49 today, according to the National Weather Service.

On the bright side, the sun will make its first appearance today in several days, forecasters stated.

Expect slightly warmer temperatures this weekend, but with cloud cover and some light rain on Saturday, it will remain a bit uncomfortable outside, the weather service said.

A better warming trend is in store for the middle part of next week, with a return of temperatures in the middle 50s to lower 60s, according to the weather service.

Today, there will be sunny skies with a high near 49 and a light and variable wind, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear with a low of 32, and a calm wind becoming west southwest around 5 mph after midnight, according to the weather service.

Thursday, skies will be sunny with a high near 46 and a west southwest wind of 5 to 8 mph becoming north northeast in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Thursday night, the low will be around 25 with mostly clear skies and a northeast wind of 7 mph, according to the weather service.

Friday, the high will be near 45 with mostly sunny skies and an east southeast wind of 7 to 9 mph, the weather service said.

Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 39, according to the weather service.

On Saturday, Veterans Day, there will be a 30 percent chance of showers after noon, with a high near 53, the weather service said.

Saturday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers before midnight, with a low of 41, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 53, the weather service said.

Sunday night, skies will be partly cloudy with a low of 36, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 55, the weather service said.

Monday night, the low will be around 42 with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, the high will be near 59 with partly sunny skies, the weather service said.
