Police have identified the man who was killed Friday morning, Nov. 3, in his car at 78th and I-70.
The victim is Darrian D. Stevens, 20, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, police said.
He died of apparent gunshot wounds while driving on 78th Street.
A police spokesman said the homicide unit is trying to identify the suspect in the homicide.
Police have released photos of the actual vehicle driven by the suspect, which appears to be a four-door gray 2004-2007 Dodge Stratus.
The suspect was described as a male armed with a silver semiautomatic handgun. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
