A semi truck left northbound I-435 near K-32, drove through the median, went over the raised median and dropped onto the railroad tracks today, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The accident happened about 12:46 p.m. Nov. 1.
The driver, a 44-year-old man from Nortonville, Kansas, was injured and taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
The 2016 Peterbilt semi was pulling a 2010 Walker Trailer, and was removed to the tow lot, according to the trooper’s report.
According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, K-32 eastbound was closed at I-435 during the response to the accident, and it has now reopened.
