A crash was reported at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 9 on westbound I-70 near 7th Street in Kansas City, Kansas.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Mercury Cougar was westbound on I-70, merging from 7th Street, while an International truck was westbound on I-70.
The truck struck the rear of the Cougar, and the Cougar lost control and struck the median wall, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Cougar, a 21-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had a possible injury and was taken to the hospital, the report stated.
The driver of the truck, a 58-year-old man from Hardin, Mo., was not injured, according to the report.
