An injury was reported in a traffic crash at 8:10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, on northbound I-635, south of the state line, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
A Chevrolet Malibu and a Mazda M6 were northbound when the Malibu changed lanes, striking the side of the Mazda, according to the trooper’s report.
The Mazda then ran off the road, struck the bridge rail, collided with another bridge rail, collided again with bridge infrastructure and came to a rest, according to the report.
The driver of the Mazda, a 28-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
The driver of the Malibu, a 30-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, was not injured, according to the trooper’s report.
